Product Introduction:
The RS485 water quality blue-green algae sensor is an online monitoring device based on fluorescence detection principle, which can accurately measure the concentration of blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) in water bodies, providing core data support for real-time monitoring of algae in drinking water sources, aquaculture, landscape water bodies, and river sections. This sensor adopts a standard RS485 communication interface and ModBus RTU protocol, and is widely integrated into water quality online monitoring stations and PLC control systems. It is a key tool for achieving 24-hour automated early warning and preventing algal blooms.
Technical Advantage
- Fluorescence detection: Different from traditional manual counting methods, this sensor utilizes the characteristic of phycocyanin in blue-green algae releasing fluorescence after being irradiated with specific wavelength excitation light. The fluorescence signal is captured by a high-sensitivity photodetector to invert algae density in real time. The reaction is sensitive, selective, and does not require chemical reagents, and there is no secondary pollution to the water body. Built in optical filtering technology and temperature compensation algorithm can effectively suppress the interference of ambient light and water temperature changes on measurement results, ensuring high detection linearity and good repeatability.
- Hardware design: The sensor probe and housing adopt an integrated sealing design, and the whole machine meets the IP68 waterproof standard, which can work stably for a long time by soaking in water at a depth of 20 meters. The probe comes standard with a 3/4-inch NPT threaded interface, supporting both submerged and pipeline installation. Whether it is a lake buoy, open channel pipeline, or aquaculture pond, it can be plug and play and quickly deployed. At the same time, an automatic cleaning device can be selected to regularly brush the optical window, avoiding data drift caused by biological and bubble adhesion, and achieving maintenance free long-term operation.
- Data and Integration: The sensor outputs through RS485 bus and supports ModBus RTU standard protocol. It seamlessly integrates with PLC, data collector, and industrial configuration software to meet the multi parameter array network requirements of automated water quality monitoring stations. Pre calibration has been completed before leaving the factory, and it can be used immediately upon opening the box. The built-in self diagnostic function can calibrate the zero point at any time, significantly reducing the intensity of on-site operation and maintenance.
